It's true that perception is everything. I recently heard someone say "The only thing that can hurt me is my own thoughts" and in practice since hearing that I find it to be absolutely truth. Granted, if a piano were to fall out of the sky and land on me that would hurt too, but I'm thinking the original writer didn't mean physical pain.
Anyways, the whole purpose of that introduction was because I was contacted a little over a week ago by Hyundai USA on Instagram for the right to use one of my photos. I eagerly responded and checked daily on the Instagram for signs of my photo. Never saw it, got sad, made up reasons why it wasn't up yet... etc. etc. Turns out it was posted on Hyundai's official Facebook page on February 1.
This whole time I was working my self up, thinking even though the initial reach out was there that I still wasn't good enough. At the end of the day, this is a huge accomplishment for me... One of my favorite things to do is being recognized by the very company that makes my car. Don't ever let your own insecurities ruin something that makes you feel good. You can do whatever you want in this life, I promise. And if not, dying trying is the most honorable thing if you ask me. Live and Get live.
